Brunch in Georgetown with Grandparents

Over the Halloweeen weekend, we had brunch in Georgetown at Martin's Tavern. Martin's is one of the oldest watering holes in Georgetown, hosting every sitting president from Harry Truman to Bush 43. In fact, a special booth is marked with a plaque that John Kennedy proposed to Jacqueline Bouvier at that table in the summer of 1953.

Miller was dressed in his finest Halloween attire for a brunch with family members including Granne, Grandpa H, Pops and Marcine. Link

Pumpkin Time

This past weekend, Miller took his first trip to a pumpkin patch as we gathered gourds to decorate our home. Dad learned a hard lesson on heavy pumpkins when we went to weigh our wagon. Who knew that 69 cents per pound would add up so quickly? I just had to test out my new "dad-strength" by grabbing the comically large pumpkin.
